Help Us Build a New Campus for Dau Dayal Girls’ School, Firozabad

Our Mission

We’ve recently established Dau Dayal English-medium School in Firozabad, India — the only school in the area offering free, high-quality English education to girls from some of India’s poorest communities.

Already, over 400 girls are learning with us, and the demand continues to grow. Every day, parents and children line up hoping for a place — but due to lack of space, we’ve had to turn many away. It breaks our hearts to say no to girls who simply want to learn.

The Journey So Far

To raise awareness and funds for the school, three friends — Mani, Shabbir and I — completed a 3,000 km auto-rickshaw journey across India, travelling from Kochi to Jaisalmer.

No air conditioning.

No power steering.

Just three very noisy rickshaws and a lot of hope.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters around the world, we raised over £40,000 through the Rickshaw Run (including £30,000 from family and friends in India). That support has already helped us move from an idea to a reality... and we are deeply grateful to everyone who believed in this project.

The Next Chapter: A New Campus

Now, the real work begins.

We have secured the land, and the foundations and walls are already in place. What we need now is continued support to complete the construction of a brand-new school campus — a space designed not just for learning, but for confidence, safety, and long-term growth. To complete construction of the building another £100,000 is required and this is where wider support becomes crucial.

This new campus will allow us to:

Welcome hundreds more girls

Reduce overcrowding

Create a permanent, safe learning environment

Most of our operational support comes from EduGirls, a US-based NGO dedicated to transforming lives in India’s slum communities. However, finances do not stretch far enough to support expansion.
