Educate & Dicipline through Marcial Arts

Hi, I'm Lui a Karate Instructor specifically in the Shotokan style.

I started training when I was 5 years old in the UK and immediately fell in love with the sport.

I took a break from Karate, which is one of my biggest regrets but life's journeys sometimes mixes things up between studying, working & personal life.

I moved to Tenerife back in 2014, started a family and it wasn't until my son decided to start training Karate which from the many styles we have it just happened to be Shotokan...My world stopped and I had a Flashback. Ever since then I started training again, just over a year ago I started my own Non-profit Karate Club for all ages with the intention of recreating my childhood memories and sharing what I knew.

But it has become so much more than that now, I've found my IKIGAI which translated from Japanese is "purpose of life".

I've found a way to connect with people, help dicipline and teach self control as well as self defense BUT only to be used as last resort. I really believe strongly that through Marcial Arts we can change the world we live in.

Starting with kids from 3 years old convert their energy into something positive, to teens heading down the wrong path, adults with personal issues or simply keeping fit and active during retirement we are trying to help everyone and anyone through our dicipline.

Reality is sometimes it can get difficult keeping up with payments, courses, insurance, rent etc especially as we are non profit and depend on Donations to keep our spirit alive.

All our instructors are volunteers around their normal work and personal lives and with YOUR HELP you can help us make a difference and try to help more people and make a positive impact through our dicipline of Karate Shotokan.

OUR AIM NOW is to train our staff and adapt our facility so we can accommodate any and all kind of disabilities and give everyone the same opportunity to participate in our sport and share the same passion and love we have for marcial arts
