Hello! My name is Kimberly M. Ray. I am an early childhood education trainer. My specialty is development and education for children birth- 5 years old; especially infant and toddler development and relationships. My goal is to complete trainer certification for the Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) and conduct trainings and information sessions on the importance of relationships and high-quality care in infant/toddler care settings. PITC is an organization which seeks to increase the quality and availability of child care for all children under 3, increase the number of knowledgeable trainers focused on the 0 to 3 age period by promoting effective teaching strategies, disseminate information that increases the practice of responsive, respectful, and relationship-based infant toddler care, promotes a curriculum planning process that honors each infant's unique curriculum, and inform national regional, and local policies and practices.
I find my philosophy of caregiving and passion for respecting each child aligns well with the goals of PITC. I have attended Modules III, IV, and V for the Train-theTrainer series, but now I need to attend Modules I and II to complete my attendance requirements for certification. In addition, I have to develop workshops that promote and teach the core concepts of PITC. I would be so honored and privileged to attain certification as I feel promoting sound and healthy relationships in the early years are vital in supporting an individual to grow and contribute peace and love to a society that needs it so badly.
Once I am certified I look forward to delivering workshops, lectures, and trainings at a low cost to spread the word and optimize the delivery of the message of the importance of nurturing children and strong connections in the early years. I will travel to wherever the need presents itself and be available to mentor teachers one-on-one in the future.
My goal amount covers the registration fee (tuition, housing, meals, and print materials).
