It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Eduardo Ortega , who left us far too soon on August 24, 2025.

Eddy was born on December 12, 1981 and from the moment he entered the world, he brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around him. He was the kind of person who made people feel seen, heard, and valued — someone who could lift your spirits with just a smile. He was the life of the party.

To know Eddy was to know someone who loved deeply and gave freely. Eddy was always there — loyal, selfless, and full of heart.

He had a gift for making people laugh, and an undeniable bond with his family, especially his siblings, whom he loved fiercely. As his youngest sister, I can say with certainty that he was one of the most loving and caring souls I’ve ever known. His presence was a blessing, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled.

Eddy is loved by many, extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on August 28, 2025 at Marin Funeral Home at 8am-12pm, Mass will be held at 12pm at Mother of the Americas Catholic Church where we will gather to celebrate his life and the joy he brought into ours. All who knew and loved Eddy are welcome to attend.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, Eddy’s love, laughter, and legacy will remain with us always.
