Eduardo Needs Your Help to Fight Gastric Cancer

Mi nombre es Eduardo y me dirijo a ustedes con el corazón lleno de esperanza, pero también con mucha frustración. A los 36 años llevaba una vida que muchos considerarían normal: hacía ejercicio, cocinaba, jugaba con mi gato, iba a trabajar y viajaba, como cualquier otra persona de mi edad. Pero todo cambió hace dos años, cuando me diagnosticaron cáncer gástrico, uno de los tipos de cáncer más agresivos que existen.

Desde entonces, he estado en una batalla constante y desgastante: cirugías, quimioterapias, procedimientos invasivos y largas estancias en el hospital. Cada paso ha sido un desafío físico y emocional, pero nunca he estado solo en este proceso. Mi familia ha sido mi pilar, acompañándome en los momentos más oscuros, y juntos hemos seguido adelante.

A pesar de todos los esfuerzos y la fortaleza que he reunido, las últimas quimioterapias no han tenido los efectos que esperábamos. Sin embargo, hace pocos días, apareció una nueva luz de esperanza: un tratamiento muy prometedor que ha mostrado grandes resultados para mi tipo de cáncer. El problema es que este tratamiento solo se ofrece en el extranjero, y como era de esperarse, tiene un costo extremadamente alto que no está cubierto por mi seguro.

Esta enfermedad ya ha traído consigo una enorme carga financiera para mi familia y para mí, y justo cuando pensábamos que no podíamos soportar más, este nuevo tratamiento llega con un peso económico aún mayor.

A pesar de lo difícil que se presenta el camino, no estoy dispuesto a rendirme. Amo mi vida y estoy decidido a seguir luchando. Si pudieras ayudarme, ya sea con una donación, compartiendo mi historia o enviando palabras de aliento, significaría el mundo para mí. Cada contribución me acerca un paso más al tratamiento que podría darme una oportunidad real de seguir viviendo.

My name is Eduardo, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, but also with hope. At 36, I was living a life many would consider normal—I exercised, cooked, played with my cat, went to work, and traveled, just like any other person my age. But everything changed two years ago when I was diagnosed with gastric cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of cancer in the world.

Since then, I’ve faced an exhausting and ongoing battle—surgeries, chemotherapy, invasive procedures, and prolonged hospital stays. Every step has been physically and emotionally challenging, but I’ve never been alone in this fight. My family has been my strength, supporting me through the darkest moments, and together, we’ve kept going.

Even though the journey has been incredibly difficult, I am still here. I love my life, and I am determined to keep fighting. However, the road ahead requires more treatment, and I need your help to continue this fight.

Despite all the efforts and the strength I’ve mustered, the latest chemotherapies have not been as effective as we had hoped. But just a few days ago, a new light of hope appeared in my journey—a promising treatment that has shown great potential for my type of cancer. The catch, however, is that this treatment is only available abroad, and it comes with an incredibly high cost. As you can imagine, it is not covered by my insurance.

Even though the road ahead is daunting, I am not ready to give up. I love my life, and I am determined to keep fighting.
