Our treasured colleague and friend Eduardo Mendieta passed away on December 17th, 2025, from complications of cancer. He was 61 years old.

This GoFundMe effort is to fund the Eduardo Mendieta Memorial Prize, which will be awarded annually to the best graduate student presentation at the Critical Theory Roundtable. Eduardo was devoted to the CTRT and served as a member of its Coordinating Committee until his death.

We hope you can contribute something to this award, as a way of remembering Eduardo and his commitment to critical theory, and of supporting, recognizing, and promoting young scholars continuing and growing the work that Eduardo valued so much.
