Chelsea’s Story

Chelsea‘s young adult life was filled with big dreams and a vision to make an impact on her community. She has an immense lust for life and hopes that she can be an advocate for others in similar situations. Several years ago, Chelsea had enrolled in nursing school and worked at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ when she first began her medical journey.

The onset of her initial ailments was puzzling for a young woman, and uncomfortable to say the least. Chelsea’s mysterious health issues abruptly stopped her in her tracks, forcing her to resign from her position, and halting her from pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse. Through this medical journey and the efforts of her doctors, Chelsea is now more adamant than ever to one day pursue her dreams, with grander aspirations than before. We could all benefit from the determination and compassionate nature that Chelsea could one day bring to the field of medicine!

In the early phases of her journey, Chelsea had undergone various tests and treatments looking for an answer; seeking relief and losing sleep. Ruling out various skin conditions and having been prescribed an anti-parasitic for a common parasite – nothing seemed to work. Struggling to find an answer, Chelsea had gone from doctor to doctor, each prescribing her the same standard medicines, but gave no relief; Chelsea was soon diagnosed to have a severe case of intestinal parasites.

News such as this can be confusing and difficult to comprehend for anyone, as it was for Chelsea. As most young adults do, and during this time in her life, Chelsea had been living away from family and friends in pursuit of her education. Among not having the comforts of home and a solid support group around her, she was no longer able to work a normal 9-5 job due to the severity of her condition.

Losing hope, she began researching alternative treatments and doctors. Chelsea had found a medical doctor out of state that treats chronically ill patients, Lyme disease, parasites, and who also studies alternative medicines. With hope in sight, it was devastating to learn that the types of treatments she seeks are not covered by insurance. This did not initially stop Chelsea, as the urgency for what could potentially save her life was in reach!

It is always the most difficult part of any medical journey – to find the proper help for what it is we need – as each of us is unique, and we respond to treatments differently. Since beginning treatments with this doctor, Chelsea was able to discover the various species of parasites she carries; which no standard anti-parasitic pill could cure.

After struggling in isolation for so long, Chelsea now has a glimmer of light shining upon her future! While she continues to fight for her life, she has also made every effort to financially support herself through these trying times. The monthly cost for everything necessary is around $5,000 which includes the basic costs of living, special dietary requirements, doctors’ visits, in-office and at-home treatments, and a mix of western and alternative medicines.

Over the first few months of treatment, Chelsea experienced the power of healing. However, without consistent monthly treatments such as IV therapy, ozone, tinctures, anti-parasitic, laser therapy, and the necessary supplies for at-home treatments – her healing will reverse itself, putting her back to where she began. With every ounce of herself, and every hard-earned penny spent, it is devastating to consider that without the financial means to overcome this diagnosis – may mean life or death. Her medical journey is near its end, if she is able to receive her treatments consistently over the next six months.

Chelsea has tried to remain strong and able throughout her journey, but she can no longer afford to fight this battle on her own – she is courageously seeking financial assistance, as little or as much as you are willing and able, anything is greatly appreciated!
