On January 21, 2026, our dear friend and colleague Girish passed away suddenly in Seattle at the age of 51 following a cardiac arrest. He was a devoted husband, a deeply loving father, and someone who believed that the best way to care for others was through quiet, consistent action.

Born in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, Girish carried a strong sense of integrity and purpose throughout his life. He built a long and respected career in technology, spending nearly two decades at Microsoft, while always making time to give back—through mental health advocacy, supporting the homeless, or simply being present for those who needed him. At the center of everything he did were his wife, Deepti, and their daughter, Aarna, who was his greatest source of joy.

Girish’s sudden passing has left an immense and unimaginable void for his family, friends, and colleagues.
