Edna Boutté Needs Your Help

I am asking for help for my Aunt-in-Love, Edna Boutté, who is my husband's auntie. Edna has spent her entire life devoted to the service of others, both friends and family, and now she finds herself in need.

Edna recently had a severe infection that required the amputation of a Big Toe. She has been in a rehab facility for over a month and her wound is healed. However, her insurance will not extend her rehab stay, and she was told she had to return home, even though she is not yet able to walk on the injured foot.

She has been moved to a care facility that costs nearly $6,000 per month and is not covered by her insurance. Edna is on a fixed income and cannot afford this expense, especially since she is also paying rent on her apartment.

This is where you come in. We are hoping to raise enough to cover Edna's expenses at the care facility for one month. God willing, by then she will have recovered well enough to safely take care of herself in her apartment. It is a sad commentary on the state of health care for seniors that the reward for a life of service is to be forced into bankruptcy.
