Edna Aker Needs Your Help!
Donation protected
My friend Edna Aker has been through a lot in her life. She has faced cancer, been in car accidents, required reconstructive surgery to her face, and has tragically lost two children and her husband. Most people would be crushed and mad at the world. But not Edna. Even though she might have wanted to, she not once has given into despair. She perseveres. She works hard. She is a beacon of love, light, and compassion to people and has dedicated her life to helping others. She is such a beautiful and kind soul.
Over the years, Edna has worked hard to improve her tiny home in Kentville, Nova Scotia, eventually scraping up enough money to finish the basement. This Spring, her house flooded for the third time, destroying the basement and compromising the structure. The last two times this has happened, Edna has done what she has always done. She worked even harder and repaired it, twice. This time, this woman who refused to feel sorry for herself, no matter what has happened to her along the way, has become discouraged. She has had to rip out the entire water-soaked basement again and has no idea how she will ever get it back to the way it was before.
Edna is not the kind of person who would ask for help. It will cost more than $40.000 to dig up around the house and repair it properly, so this never happens again. Edna is not a rich woman. In fact, she gives whatever she has to others and supports her extended family, leaving nothing for herself. There is no savings account to draw on. There is just her. Edna has helped thousands of people over the years, and now she needs our help. Please contribute what you can to this go fund me campaign. People like Edna are rare, and she deserves our support.
