Project Backpack - Yardstick Edmonton

Yardstick is raising money to buy backpacks and school supplies for local kids!

Each year, thousands of Canadian kids start school without the proper essentials, because they can’t afford basic school supplies. The Start2Finish Backpack Program (https://www.start2finishonline.org/backpack-program) equips children from low-income families with the tools they need to succeed, and thrive, at school.

At the end of August, Edmonton Yardstickers will be delivering backpacks stuffed full with pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencil cases, glue sticks, paper, and more to Norwood Elementary and Delton Elementary.

We are estimating a cost of approximately $50 to buy and fill one backpack, and hope to fill at least 50!
