My name is Leah Wiltzen, and I am a dedicated rugby player from Sherwood Park, Alberta. I have been playing rugby since I was nine years old, and over the years it has become one of my greatest passions. The sport has shaped who I am today—teaching me teamwork, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field.

I currently play club rugby for Druids RFC, where I’ve had the incredible experience of being part of a three-time provincial championship-winning team. I also play with Edmonton Gold Rugby, an elite program that brings together top players from Edmonton and surrounding areas. Through this team, I’ve had the privilege of competing at Alberta Regional Championships (ARC) in 2023, 2024, and 2025, as well as participating in Kamloops 7s (2024 and 2025) and Vancouver 7s (2024) with the Alberta County Warriors.

This past season, I was honoured to be selected to represent Edmonton Gold on a travel team to London and Wales in 2025, where we will play against several club teams from across the UK. This is an incredible opportunity to compete internationally, grow as an athlete, and represent my community and province on a global stage.

I have worked hard over the years to develop as both a player and a leader, and my dream is to one day play rugby at the national level. However, opportunities like this tour come with significant expenses for travel, accommodation, and team fees. I am seeking sponsorship or donations to help make this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible. Any support, big or small, would go directly toward helping me represent Edmonton and Alberta with pride.

Rugby has given me so much—memories, lifelong friendships, and lessons in perseverance—and I am eager to continue growing through this amazing experience abroad. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my journey.
