Hi my name is Tina and I’m the mom of Edmond Exline II.

My sons dad was the one who died on I 81. Early Monday morning at 2:30 am my sons Uncle got a knock at the door from the MD police and said that his brother was deceased and they had no other information.

For almost 48 hours after that between my son, and other family members, called into the wv state police. We could not get any information from any one. We had no clue if someone killed him, if he got hit by a car or he killed himself. Our whole family was just in the dark. Then Tuesday night there was an article put out about someone who had a struggle with police on 81 and died. Finally after emails and 1000 phone calls an officer called his oldest brother and gave a story. I won’t say what the story was yet since it’s “under investigation” but it’s a story none the less.

My sons dad was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia probably around 2010 or so and slowly just kept declining over the years. His family that loved him did everything they could to help him get better. But unfortunately our system fails the mental illness. For anyone who knows this disease would know once they are on meds they think they are better and stop taking the meds.

Although he was mentally ill the dad my son knew and loved is one who helped teach him how to ride a bike, and taught him how to work on cars. Taught him how to make a garden, a biggg one at that and how much sweat you put into something that gives you such rewards. He taught him how important family was. He taught him baseball and never missed a game. He was a dad who loved my son the best way that he knew how! Even when his mind tried to tell him different. He was not always in a good place with his mental illness, he yelled probably more than most people would yell but no one could ever deny that he loved his son.

We are asking for some help even tho we have no information. But we wanna make sure that when he is release from the coroner that my son can do what he needs to cremate his dad and get him where he belongs with his dad. We know he is in a much better place and we just want him to rest in peace.

Any help would be much appreciated and if you can’t donate please share and pray for my son and the rest of his family.
