Edith Dumeng’s Memorial

My mother Edith Dumeng, a woman with a golden heart and a completely selfless, loving, and caring personality, tragically passed on January 26, 2020. This abrupt and out of nowhere turn of events have deeply hit the Dumeng & Calvo families, and all those who met her or were introduced to any of her 4 children, Steven, Nelson, Michael, & Christine. Arriving with nothing in the 70s from Puerto Rico, my mother built a foundation in Long Island purely from her willpower to be successful. The most ideal kind of mother figure: strong, motivated, role model, generous to everyone she met, concern and support for all, always paying things forward, helping in any way possible, hard working, teaching right from wrong, and completely filled with nothing but love to share to everyone she came into contact with. Edith’s legacy lives on through her equally loving and hardworking husband, Nelson, her 4 children, and her 4 grandchildren. Everyone who met my mom loved her dearly because she radiated unconditional love, and I, along with all my family members, will forever keep everything we learned from her intact and reciprocated to all we meet.
