Edie's Leg Surgery & Recovery Fund

Edie was struck by a car on Friday, Feb 2nd, and was rushed over to DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital. She has a shattered right rear tibia, degloved lower leg, and the connective ligaments were all ground down.
My friend, Lindsey, was given the option of a $15k reconstructive surgery that would give her prosthetic ligaments (it has a major risk of failure if they are overused and would then require another surgery!) or the $7,800-$10,000 amputation. She is in for the amputation right now and they will remove most of her back leg. She’ll be able to hop around as a tripod dog after she heals and learns to balance again.
