Edie’s Cause

This month our beautiful little girl is 1. Her birthday is a wonderful celebration of her life but for us it also marks a year since our horrendous journey through post natal depression began.

After the birth of Edie,her mum, Fi became severely unwell, which resulted in attempts to take her own life. Fi spent nearly 3 months in hospital and Edie spent 2 of those without her mum. During this time the Perinatal Mental Health Team offered the most incredible care and support and finally got Edie and her Mum placed together in a Mother and Baby Psychiatric Unit. The Perinatal team continue to be an incredible support but they are a massively underfunded service, meaning many women don’t get the invaluable support. We are fundraising to try and help more women like Fi and more babies like Edie.
