There are moments in life that stop everything — where time folds in on itself and you realize the world has changed forever.
Losing our mom, Edie Muller, was one of those moments.
She was our constant — the laughter in the room, the calm in every storm, the voice that always knew what to say. My sister Beth and I are trying to honor her the way she lived: with love, honesty, and heart, even as we face the hardest days of our lives. Edie was only 58, but she lived every one of those years with meaning. She showed up for people — family, friends, even animals, anyone who needed her — and she gave her love freely, without hesitation. She had a way of making people feel safe, cared for, and loved.
Now that she’s gone, we’re doing everything we can to give her the farewell she deserves and to find peace in understanding what happened. We recently learned that what we believed was her life insurance policy was actually a type of critical care coverage that doesn’t include funeral or final expenses. And while we’re still sorting through the details of her care, we’ve realized we’ll need to arrange a private autopsy and toxicology to gain clarity and closure for our family. It’s not easy to ask for help, but we can’t do this alone.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Private autopsy and toxicology testing — to help our family find understanding and peace
• Funeral and memorial expenses — to give Edie the beautiful farewell she deserves
• Final costs and arrangements — to allow her family and friends to gather, remember, and celebrate her life
Our mom spent her life giving — her time, her heart, and her love. Now, we’re simply trying to give that same love back to her, one last time. If you can help — through a donation, a share, or even by keeping our family in your prayers — it would mean more than we can ever express and we would be forever grateful.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Edie’s children, Greg & Beth
