Edible Marketplace Cafe

Crystal City | Creative Spaces, LLC, a new multi-member Artspace development company located in Syracuse, NY has decided to raise immediate community-supported capital to quickly turn one of its first ventures, Edible: Chef's Choice Kitchen, into a micro-seasonal, vegetarian eatery, culinary education and demonstration center that also functions as a healthy, micro-seasonal bodega marketplace and cafe.

Unfortunately, while we were in the process of transitioning the site to new ownership and a more robust business model, our start-up fundraising took a massive hit with many of our core individual investments being frozen indefinitely and our "Grand Opening" date (ie. expected income stream) now fully in flux.... now set for September 05, 2020.

We have a venue, equipment, space, talent and skill... and the desire to be at aid to our community. Many of our core team are working class chefs, cooks and foodies that were over the moon to present this exciting new concept kitchen to Syracuse / CNY, but with this new reality we live in, our collective personal savings won't be enough to stay the coarse.

With your help, we have committed to take all measures to "opening" Edible to the public, as fast as we can, in order to provide essential food and nutritional services, especially for the vegan and vegetarians among us, yet, in order to do so, we will need some help getting some of our immediate bills, fees and health permits covered in the coming days and weeks.

In addition to providing commercial, retail services, our goal is to partner with area pantries to take on whole food donations from as many sources as we can to provide, at least, two healthy, nutritious meals to the community. Our cooks will use our facility to make bulk dishes, pack them and the clientele would receive prepared meals at the front door, located on East Fayette Street.

We have been in touch with many area farms, restaurants, cafe's, caterers and producers, as well as local government officials, nutritional service providers, school meal leadership and feel confident that this soup kitchen concept would be very well received on the Eastside and beyond.

Please share wide, if we can meet our goal - we'll make this happen!
