Help for the Rosales family

Anyone who knows me knows I very rarely ask for help. (That’s probably how all these posts start out..) But seriously. I’m hard-headed and determined to do everything on my own without burdening everyone else with my issues. Everyone needs help at some point in their life, this just happens to be my time.

As most of you may not know Edgar was brought to the US when he was 11 months old. He was a baby, he had no choice and he had no clue he was not a legal citizen until he was 16. He has been trying for the last 9 years to obtain citizenship so he can make this place his “legal” home. Edgar was a DREAMER, he got DACA when he was 19 and was able to work legally with a work visa while continuing to obtain citizenship. That DACA was revoked once he was ACCUSED of a crime back in July, this allowed immigration to pick him up due to being in the US without documentation. Edgar has been in immigration custody for almost 2 months now which leaves me to pay bills and lawyers. Edgar’s family has been helping but there’s only so much money they can provide without running out themselves. I won’t even sugar coat it anymore, I am drowning.. We just bought a house in May and I’ve been going to paramedic school since February which leaves me broke with no time to work an extra job or extra hours at the job I have now.

Edgar is facing possible deportation. I could not imagine what is going through his head right now, all I know is he is my husband. I made vows to him and I will honor those vows to the best of my ability, that is why I am still by his side. Roman is too young to understand what is happening, he just knows that his daddy is not home and I don’t have the ability to explain to him why. If Edgar gets deported Roman will be too young to remember him. The laughs, the tickles, the goofy faces, the kisses, the I love you’s, everything. My son might grow up not knowing his father and I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t do everything in my power to prevent that which is why we’ve hired the best lawyers we could find. And as everyone knows, lawyers are expensive.. Life is expensive.. Being a full time employee, full time student, and now a full time “single” mom is expensive. If you can’t donate, that is perfectly fine, I don’t expect anyone to. If you can help me make sure I have the money to prove my husband’s innocence and keep him home with his family while also keeping a roof over my son’s head and food in his belly, there aren’t enough words to express my appreciation and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
