On October 5, 2024, we lost our friend and brother Edgar deJesus. His grace and courage in his fight with cancer was inspirational. In his final days, Edgar was able to finish drafting his memoir, telling the story of this child of El Barrio, his time in the Young Lords, and his leadership in the campaign for union rights for thousands of workers in Puerto Rico.

Edgar’s final wish was that his memoir be published. We are raising funds to support this dream of Edgar's as well as help the family with financial obligations as they navigate this difficult transition.
