Please support Edgar Carrillo Antonio's surviving family after losing his battle with cancer on April 1, 2026.

Edgar was a long-time Carpinteria resident where he resided with his family. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2023, rapidly declined in March of 2026, and lost his battle shortly thereafter. This rapid decline took his family by surprise, and now they are struggling to pay for the arrangements to bury him with dignity while processing his passing.

Just a few halls away in the same hospital, Edgar's brother also fought for his life after being brutalized by ICE in Santa Barbara. He is currently recovering from multiple surgeries for the injuries he endured.

Their mother is now left as the primary provider for the family. She has two minor children who depend on her. She is struggling to process Edgar's sudden death and the possibility of losing her other son due to the severe injuries inflicted by ICE.

Edgar’s greatest fear was leaving his mother and family behind, struggling to survive without him. Even in hospice, Edgar tried to keep working.

Today, that fear has become a reality. Edgar's mom is now the sole head of household.

In addition to loss, she faces the financial burden of funeral expenses and all of the financial responsibilities for her surviving family.

We are asking our community to come together in this moment of unimaginable heartbreak. Your support will help cover funeral costs and provide this family with a few months of rent so they may grieve together, safely, in their home and without the fear of losing everything.

No donation is too small. Together, we can honor Edgar's life by supporting the family he loved and help his brother on the road to recovery.
