I started this account for my sister, brother, and  four beautiful nieces. December 23rd 2015, my brother, Chris Maher, was in a horrific car accident.  Around 11pm, he swerved off the road and hit a tree head on. He died instantly upon impact. It is believed by the family that he had a heart attack. The family van he was driving then caught fire. His body as well as the van was burned beyond all recognition. My sister, Crystal Maher, is left to pick up the pieces. Medical expenses, car replacement, let alone all the expenses of raising four beautiful girls all on her own. I know many can sympathize with her situation let alone it being so close to the holidays. I just want her to worry about one less thing in the grand scheme of things. No one should ever have to bury a loved one, a husband, a father. Especially so close to Christmas. Her daughters, aged 3, 7, 10, and 12, are devastated, lost, confused, and of course heart broken. My sister is trying her hardest to keep it together for the girls' sake, but of course she is a mess as well. She is worried about raising four girls on her own, getting a vehicle for her and her girls, utilities, & little things most people dont think about like household items & more..I just hope to help her financially as this should be the furthest thing from her mind. We appreciate any help we receive and cannot express our gratitude enough for the love and support for our family through this most difficult time. As this was very unexpected and unforeseen, she cannot move forward with anything without financial means which means the funds are an immediate need. So please help my sister and neices.
