“EdFlix Reloaded: The Buffering Stops Here!”
Donation protected
Hey EdFlix Fam,
We’re back—and better (and buffer-free*), things are on the horizon!
Thanks to your past generosity, EdFlix has grown from a fun hobby into a full-fledged streaming hub that has kept friends, family, and fans entertained for years. From binge-worthy classics to the latest releases, EdFlix is where the good stuff lives. But with more users and more content comes… more demand.
That’s why I’m asking for your help once again to upgrade the EdFlix engine — and ensure smoother, faster, buffer-free streaming for everyone.
What This Fundraiser Supports:
To keep things running fast and fresh, I’ll be upgrading:
• ️ New Server – A powerhouse Dell OptiPlex 7020 with a 14th Gen Intel i7 CPU and 64GB RAM
• ️ External GPU for Transcoding – To handle simultaneous streams and cut down on lag
• NVMe Cache SSD for Synology NAS – For quicker access to your favorite content
• Upgraded NAS Drives – Seagate IronWolf Pro enterprise-grade storage for long-term growth
If you’d prefer to donate gear directly, feel free to check out my Amazon Wish List!
Why It Matters:
EdFlix is ad-free, subscription-free, and built with love. It’s my passion project — and your support helps keep it thriving. Whether you stream occasionally or regularly, this upgrade will benefit the whole community.
⚠️ Disclaimer: While these upgrades will drastically reduce buffering caused by server limitations, occasional buffering may still happen due to my internet speed. Sadly, no fiber in my area—yet! But trust me, I’m squeezing every bit of bandwidth I can.
Please Note: This fundraiser covers only hardware and upgrade costs. It does not include the monthly expenses I cover personally for:
• Newsgroup server access
• Internet service
• RSS feed management tools
Let’s level up EdFlix together—no more hardware limits, just good vibes and great content.
Thank you for being part of the EdFlix community. Let’s make EdFlix Reloaded a reality.
With appreciation,
-Eddie
