Eden Tilford's Medical Bills

Hey everyone,

Our daughter, Eden, was born into this world on Tuesday January 24, 2023. She had an echocardiogram and everything looked fine. Her bilirubin numbers were high which made her have an extended stay at the hospital. Come Saturday, her bilirubin numbers dropped and she was ready to come home. Or so we thought.

Thankfully, a Piedatrician noticed something was weird with her blood pressure. Her numbers in her arms were higher than the numbers in her legs and ordered a 2nd echocardiogram.

This doctor possibly saved Eden's life.

In this echo, they found a bicuspid aortic valve and a coarctation of aorta. A coarctation of the aorta is when the aorta is squeezing shut and blood can't pass through. They immediately had her transfered to the Children's National Hospital in Washington DC for surgery.

Eden will undergo heart surgery on Tuesday 1/31/23 to save her life by repairing her aorta at 1 week old.

My wife, Jill Tilford, and I, Alec Tilford are seeking help in raising money to pay medical bills and our expensive stay at the hospital. Luckily insurance is going to cover a large majority of the expense but we have a large out of pocket maximum which we have to pay. In addition, with this hospital being over a hour and a half from home, we are staying at the hospital. After the surgery, her recovery time is approximately two weeks that she will be in the hospital. The food and parking is super expensive and with Jill out of work currently, any help is very appreciated.
