Der süße Eddy hat schlimmes FORL (schmerzhafte Entzündung im Kiefer/der Zähne) und seine verbliebenen Zähne müssen raus.

Hallo zusammen,

wir haben Eddy im Oktober 2024 von einer Tierschutzorganisation zu uns geholt. Er war verängstigt, besonders vor Männern, und ganz abgemagert. Mit Zeit und Liebe ist er aber zu einem wunderschönen, liebevollen, verspielten und sehr schmusebedürftigen Kater geworden. Seine Mitbewohnerin, Bunny (Calico-Katze auf einem der Fotos) hat ihn nach nur ganz kurzen Erklärungen, dass sie der Chef ist, unter ihre Fittiche genommen und sie wurden schnell die dicksten Freunde.

Dass Eddy FORL hat, wurde uns von der Tierärztin, kurz nachdem wir ihn aufgenommen haben, mitgeteilt. Eddy hatte dann eine OP und die befallenen Zähne wurden entfernt. Die Ärzte sagten uns, dass dies meist ausreiche. Bei Bunny wurden auch befallene Zähne durch eine OP entfernt und sie hat keine Probleme mehr. Bei Eddy ist dies leider nicht der Fall. Nun hat sich auch der Rest entzündet und alle müssen restlos entfernt werden.

Wir hoffen, dass Eddy hier ein paar Herzen erwärmen kann und sich wenigstens ein Teil der Summe zusammenfindet, um die Kosten begleichen zu können.

Summary: Sweet Eddy has a severe case of FORL (painful inflammation of the jaw/teeth), and his remaining teeth must be removed.

​Hello everyone,

​We adopted Eddy from a rescue organization in October 2024. When he first arrived, he was emaciated and terrified, especially of men. However, with time and love, he has blossomed into a beautiful, affectionate, playful, and very cuddly cat. His housemate, Bunny (the calico cat in the photos), took him under her wing after a few brief "explanations" that she is the boss, and they quickly became the best of friends.

​Shortly after we took him in, our veterinarian informed us that Eddy has FORL. FORL (Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions) is a condition where the body essentially "dissolves" the teeth from the inside out, making it incredibly painful.

He then had surgery to remove the affected teeth. The doctors told us that this is usually sufficient; Bunny also had affected teeth removed during a surgery and has had no further problems. Unfortunately, this is not the case for Eddy. Now, the rest of his teeth have become inflamed and must be completely removed.

​We hope that Eddy can warm a few hearts here and that we can raise at least a portion of the total sum to cover the costs.
