My mother, Mary Eddy, 82, was a resident of Feather Canyon Senior Living Community, along with her friend Lea Complio 89. Last Thursday morning, upon learning of the Camp Fire and immediate danger, they both jumped into my mother's truck and drove themselves to Chico to safety, while fire was burning on both sides of the roadway. As so many others in Paradise, they've lost their home, as have my niece's family, Jessica Eddy-Rowe, her husband and Chico Fire Captain, Ethan Rowe, their children Bella, 13, Lilly 9 and Jamison 3. My nephew BJ Eddy, sister in law, Mary Ann Eddy Poliquin and her husband Andy also lost everything. As most people that morning, they left their homes, with nothing but the clothes they wore. In our efforts to help them regain a small bit of normalcy, we are hoping to be able to raise enough funds to provide sheets, towels, pillows, schools supplies and pet food,
clothing and personal need items, shoes and coats for the winter months ahead. Our goal is $1000 per family, and $2000 for the Roe family. Any assistance will be appreciated , even $5.00 adds up
for these families in need. Donations of dressers, night stands, small kitchen tables, lamps would be greatly appreciated. If you can't make a donation, please keep them, as well as others impacted by the fire, in your thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
