Eddie’s Double Bypass Surgery

On Monday, June 26th, my dad, Eddie Hartman, suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to the ER. After numerous tests being run, it was found that he had 3 blockages, one of which was 100%. One of the blockages was fixed with a stent, but the other two will need to be treated with a double bypass. His surgery will be on the 5th of July.

My dad is a selfless man who loves his whole family with all his heart. His friends mean the world to him and he’d give them the shirt off his back. I know that he and my mom would never ask for help themselves, so I am doing it for them, because I know they will need it. This is going to be a long road for both of them, and it would mean the world to my family to have the burden lifted as much as possible.

He will spend at least two weeks in the hospital and I am asking for help funding what won’t be covered by insurance. We would also sincerely appreciate if you keep him in your thoughts during this difficult time.

I would also like to mention how grateful my family is for the staff at Clear Lake Regional Hospital for taking such great care of him, even when he’s grumpy because he wants a chocolate milkshake. From the surgeons and nurses to the nutrition specialist who makes sure he gets his desserts, we are very thankful he is in such good hands.
