My name is Alex and I’ve been lucky enough to be considered one of Eddie’s friends. We’re all lost right now without him… Eddie was so many things to so many people. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a husband, a firefighter, a man of God…and now he’s our Angel.

Eddie once posted a quote by Oscar Wilde - “You don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.” When it came to Eddie, we all could hear it. His song was our favorite.

He made everyone feel like family… he gave the best hugs. It’s hard to put into words what made Eddie so amazing. I know his wife and family had a huge part in that. I thank them for sharing Eddie with me and all of us. Now it’s our turn to help and be there just like Eddie would’ve done.
