Meet Eddie! He’s 11 years old, loves running, and has been smashing kids’ Park Run every Sunday for over a year. Now he’s setting himself his biggest (and silliest!) challenge yet…

Eddie is going to run 10 parkruns in a giant inflatable dinosaur costume — yes, really! Imagine a speedy T-rex charging around the park every weekend.

Why? Because Eddie wants to raise money for Make-A-Wish UK, a charity that brings joy and unforgettable experiences to children with critical illnesses. He knows how lucky he is to be able to run, play and be active every week, and he wants to use his love of running to help other children smile too.

Every donation, big or small, will help Eddie reach his goal and help Make-A-Wish create life-changing memories for children who need them most.

Update 28/09: 1 down, 9 to go!!

Update 05/10: 2 down, 8 to go!! Dino had a slight malfunction today and deflated during the run, however Eddie managed to get Dino over the line!

Update 12/10: 3 down, 7 to go! The Dino successfully stayed inflated

Update 19/10: 4 down, 6 to go!

Update 26/10: WE ARE HALFWAY! 5 down, 5 to go! Eddie will miss next week's Park Run due to going away to a pole vault training camp in Portugal, runs to resume on 09/11!

Update 09/11: after a short break (and doing loads of athletics in the warm Portugal), Dino is back on track! 6 down, 4 to go!

Update 16/11: 7 down, 3 to go! Dino has smashed his Park Run PB as well (Dino is a tad slower than Eddie but well done, Dino!).

Update 23/11: 8 down, 2 to go! The Dino has encountered technical problems today, and is no longer inflating.... early retirement for Dino? No! With the few runs to do, Dino will not give up and run deflated - he's committed to completing all 10!

Update 30/11: 9 down, 1 to go!! What a lovely sunny morning today for a Park Run! Eddie's costume is broken (one more run until Dino's retirement), however Eddie and his sister managed a fun run together! Next weekend Eddie is competing in a pole vault competition, so his final run will be in two weeks, just in time before Christmas!

Update 07/12: No run today, as Eddie was competing at a pole vault competition and jumping his personal best... last Dino run next week before Dino's retirement.

Update 14/12: 10 Park Runs done!! Dino is ready for retirement and Eddie would like to thank everyone for their support and donations - what an amazing experience this has been!
