Eddie's Cancer Battle

Life in general is truly a blessing; however, it can also be so very mean.  Bad things happen to really great people every day but never ever in a million years did I see myself writing this very post about Ed!  Ed was diagnosed with Renal Cancer November 2016.  He had a Left Nephrectomy (remove the left kidney).  The prognosis was very good!  Unfortunately, just a few short weeks ago they learned that the Renal Cancer had metastasized to a number of locations and they have classified it as Stage 4 Renal Cancer. 

To fight this cancer Ed will be going through extensive testing, multiple surgeries, radiation treatments and that is just getting him started.  Unfortunately, Ed does NOT have health insurance and loss of income due to his inability to work due to the vigorous schedule of appointments, treatments, and surgeries.  Kelli has also been missing work to assist in the care of Ed and making sure he gets to his appointments as well.  As you can imagine all of this will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for his continued treatment, not to mention their day to day bills of the mortgage, food etc.

Eddie has impacted many lives within our community with his generosity to help others, volunteering with various youth sports groups, providing a helping hand to friends, and neighbors whenever needed.  Ed is a very humble man and I have never heard him ask for help in return.  I am asking everyone who is able to give a little something to pay it forward to a family who truly deserves it.  There is no donation too small or too large – if you are unable to donate at this time please share, pray, and send positive thoughts for this family.
