In June Ed was over in Bali for a holiday and a few days into his trip he woke up in a Bali hospital with no recollection of what happened to him. He had a broken fibula, foot & multiple broken bones in his face, (as you can see in the picture) a bleed on his brain and obviously cuts and bruises to suit. He was given the option of getting the surgery he required in Bali @ a cost of $90,000 which would not be carried out until the insurance company had paid the hospital the full amount or alternatively fly back to Perth but to get home he required a Medivac flight due to the severity of his injuries, To get on this flight they required payment up front which was $55,000 but seemed like the best option (it was!) Maureen (his mum) flew over to meet him and to get the money together him, his parents and his sister withdrew money from their home loans to get him home where he has since had 3 surgeries reconstructing his face with more surgery to go, spent 6 weeks in a moon boot, had physio to sort his leg and dental work to fix his teeth. Eddie recently has had his insurance claim declined as they said in the hospital report that he was found on the street by a local taxi driver with a helmet on indicating he was on a scooter which his travel insurance did not cover. Eddie so far has forked out $65,000 on medical bills! And is currently out of work due to his injuries. Anyone that knows Ed, knows he is a bloody genuine good guy that officially has the worst luck in the world! If we can all chip in to help a brother out of a shitty situation hopefully it will ease the burden and help get him back on his feet Cheers Legends!
