This year, I'm running the Berlin Marathon for Get Kids Going! Get Kids Going! is a national charity that gives disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26 years, the opportunity of participating in sports. Every mile I'm putting in, every early morning, every day my legs feel like they're full of cement—it's all part of something that matters. I'm running Berlin to support kids who deserve a real shot at movement, confidence, and opportunity.
As a father, I want to be able to support other parents, guardians, and their kids to become the best they can be. If you've ever believed in what movement can do—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, for life—I'm asking you to be part of this with me. Get Kids Going! inspires disabled youngsters to compete in sporting events, from start to Paralympic level, by giving them sports grants to help with their training, physiotherapy, sports psychology, travel, competition fees, and the design and development of sports equipment.
The money raised will go towards specially built wheelchairs and sports grants, helping more children and young people access the support they need to thrive in sports. With your help, many can become world record holders and Paralympic champions. Let's make these miles mean something together!
