Eddie Nichols Funeral and Memorial
Donation protected
Our friend and co-worker Eddie Nichols, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday August 17. He has been working at Vacuum Engineering & Materials since May of 2019. He has worked around the DFW Metroplex for 40 years building relationships and friendships where ever he has gone.
Those that knew him will remember him as a generous, kind, fun, easy going, salt of the earth kind of man.
If Eddie knew he could help you in any way, he was there. No job was too small and he readily accepted the most challenging tasks he took on. He very much enjoyed working at VEM and was so grateful for the opportunity. This was evidenced by how he put his heart and soul into seeing the company succeed.
Eddie had a way of making us all feel we'd known him all his life. He was honest, loyal and trustworthy. He could make us all laugh with his antics and funny facial expressions.
He was a vibrant and vital part of our team/family here and he is deeply missed by us all. He has befriended and impacted many more lives along his travels.
His family certainly was not prepared for him to be taken so soon. They did not have money set aside for a service or burial expenses. We would like to try to raise enough funds to cover these costs to help alleviate some of the pain of his loved ones during this time. All of the funds donated will go towards the funeral home and burial site costs.
He will be buried August 21st at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving at 10:00 AM.
