Eddie Needs Us: Help a Brave Boy Recover

Eddie is a bright, joyful boy who has shown incredible strength in the face of serious medical challenges.

Over the past year, he has undergone multiple surgeries and recently has spent nearly two months in and out of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore.

As of May 2025, he is currently at CHOP in Philadelphia.

He did a colostomy reversal and colectomy in April/2025. However, his body di dit not handle food and only days later after his discharge, he needed to go back to the hospital. Since May 11, he had lost 10 lbs :(

Doctors discovered a mechanical blockage at the watery at the start of the small bowel. He had another surgery at CHOP to implant a J TUBE and a G TUBE. The J-tube bypasses the stomach and the area that is causing the trouble and extends to the small bowel. The G-Tube is for quick short feedings.

His condition has left him very weak—so much so that his mother recently had to purchase a special shower chair to help him bathe safely. As Eddie continues to recover, his mother has been unable to work in order to care for him full-time.
