Place found, funds drying up like CA

Hello FB fam.

 

I hope no one I know is facing something like this, but sadly someone probably is.

I've found a place,  and can work off some rent doing property improvement, and have had some replies to the 278 applications I've sent  but only one offer so far(see below paragraph), and there's $1,500 in unemployment funds that have not been released because after over a month, I have yet to get my phone interview to approve my claim nor been ableto reach EDD. At present disposable funds are a total of $250 with $75 due for phone bill in 6 days

10/12/21: Good interview today in West LA, decision by end of week.

And while I await a decision, tomorrow from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. I'll be doing event security for Netflix screening at The Shrine Auditorium downtown .

Downside: I won't be compensated for the gig for 2 to 3 business weeks after the event as contract between the company and the Shrine Auditorium, Novo Theater,, the ACE theater, the Orpheum Theater, all pay on net 30 invoicing. And the same would go for the 23 other events that the security company sent me schedule info for, 

So yeah, I have "work" if the interview for the CSR doesn't go through, but you can see the dilemma in having to wait two to three weeks to get paid for a gig.
