Eddie Martinez needs your help

My brother Eddie had a quadruple bypass heart surgery in late January 2020. He had to take time off from work to recover and was set to go back to work in late April 2020. He went back to work and was able to just work one week. You see the following Monday when he was set to go to work he never showed up or called in sick. His co-workers knowing he just had heart surgery called his (wife) since they used to work together to inquire about Eddie. It is not like him to not show up or call in so they were worried. Lydia (wife) drove to his apt to check up on him and found him unresponsive. She called 911 and Eddie was taken to Montefiore Albert Einstein in the Bronx. This is also where he had  his surgery. The doctors ran tests on him and determined that bacteria got into his blood and that that was the cause of Eddie's status. They have not determined if it happened during the operation or after. He needs help! Eddie is not one to bother anyone but will give you the shirt off his back because that is who we are. He loves to read is a funny and loving man. Those that know him will tell you this. I was helping him a little bit financially but I just got laid off from my job. Eddie is progressing and is going to need over two months of physical therapy to get back to somewhat normal. His union is not really helping and he has no more sick or holiday days since he used those during his initial operation. I just want to help him pay some rent and bills. He's never been late with his rent and is very responsible with that. I am asking our friends to please help us as we've helped others. I personally have helped friends with their GO FUND me when I've been able to. Could you donate anything from $1.00 and up? These funds will alleviate some of the financial burden that he is acquiring. It will help with some rent, utilities and clearly hospital bills that are piling up. Since I am not his PROXY I am getting limited information on his status and have to get it from his wife who has been such a wonderful help in this scenario. What I do know is that he is currently on antibiotics for about 6 weeks because the blood has bacteria. Also one of the valves is leaking so they are monitoring it and they want to see if it heals itself or if he has to go back and have another operation. then after that he still has to do several months of physical therapy. I know that we are right now in a difficult time as a society but I also know that we have some amazing friends who love Eddie and can help. Will you and can you?
