Eddie Lang Day 2019
Eddie Lang was known as "the Father of Jazz Guitar" because of is work and prominence in the 1920s-30s. This year marks the 10th Annual Eddie Lang Day Philadelphia with an afternoon of live music celebrating his life . Music will be presented by Blackbird Society Orchestra - a 12 pc authentic 20s-30s band. There will be a special appearance by Marty Grosz who will perform a few guitar duets with Jim Gicking in the style of Lang/Kress.
Each year we donate our proceeds to help a great cause and this year , because of their exemplary services , we will be partnering with Bryn Mawr Hospital's Hospice Center.
During peoples last days they not only need expert medical help but the warm, personal , sincere care and attention that the staff show all of their patients , as well as their visitors.
We are proud to contribute to this wonderful Hospice care center and your help is greatly appreciated.
