On Tuesday, September 8th my dad's home burnt to the ground in the Almeda Fire. His home was one of an estimated 600 homes destroyed.
I was able to get to his house in time to save his dog who was home alone, but I had to walk a mile past a roadblock so I wasn't able to save any of his clothes or valuables.
He has a good system of support and a roof over his head, but since he didn't have rental incurrence and isn't a homeowner he doesn't qualify for much of the support systems out there right now.
Above anything else, his need is for affordable housing and a permanent solution. If you have information about options that may work for him please let me know.
