Eddi Walker's Medical Expenses

Eddi Walker had an allergic reaction on Saturday, March 30, from an unknown cause. She ended up on life support and was life flighted to Salt Lake City. She was initially on life support but now is currently off life support and has been in and out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She has what they believe is protracted anaphylaxis without defined cause. This means her throat can close at any time without much notice. Although, she has a history of allergies, her presentation is unique. Currently, they are working her up potential causes including lymphoma, autoimmune diseases, genetic disorders and numerous other conditions. It is believed a recent new medication may be contributing and will remain in her system for 130 days. She is still hospitalized and having reactions every night. She must remain in the hospital until she is not having any further reactions.

Her daughter, Jennifer, is with her in Salt Lake City and will stay with her until she is able to leave. Jennifer has been staying in hotels but now has rented a car and apartment and we do not know how long they will need to remain in Salt Lake. After discharge, she will need to stay in Salt Lake City for 1-2 weeks minimum.

Please donate if you are able to assist with expenses which includes 20 percent of life flight expense. Currently, the hospital is unsure of all covered testing and a very expensive medication at $30,000 per month not covered by insurance until she has an actual diagnosis.

Eddi has always been selfless and given herself to support all causes in Butte and now we believe it is our turn to try and help her. We appreciate everyone!
