Hi! My name is Gailina. I was paralyzed on January 12th, 2020. By the grace of God I can walk short distances with a cane/walker today. I‘ve never had PT because I don’t have a way there. I would like to purchase a car. My insurance won’t cover transportation and I don’t have any family or friends willing to take me. Getting to PT isn’t the only thing that getting a car is going to help me with. I’ll also be able to do my own laundry as well as get out and make friends. I lost all of mine since being paralyzed and I would love to make new ones. Being disabled and stuck in the house 24/7 makes that impossible. I’ll be able to drive myself to school. I would also like to run for Miss Black UCO next semester and advocate for those with disabilities . A car would make this possible!! I believe I could really make a difference and it’s my calling. I’d also like to mention that I’m suffering from a spinal cord injury and have frequent muscle spasms, I will have to get hand controls installed. Please help me fulfill my mission. ANYTHING helps.
