Last month, right before Christmas, my mother suffered a heart attack stemming from congestive heart failure. What started out as a regular hospital stay for the first 2 days changed quickly as she had a heart attack in the hospital a day before her scheduled release. She was then intubated for 5 days as she fought for her life.

Miraculously, she pulled through with no brain damage or other injuries. We spent 20 days in the hospital as she slowly recovered. Finally, we were able to take her home, but the overwhelming medical as well as other expenses have been a great burden. She is not working and will not be for the foreseeable future. She is in need of a new place to stay as her bedroom is currently upstairs.

Between outpatient rehab, medications, and the next few months of required follow-up visits and imaging, we need some help. Even if you cannot give at this moment, just sharing this will be a great help.

This woman has given her life to others, me and my deceased sister namely. She has always given in her lack to make sure we were okay. I would like to repay that in a great way. If you know my mother, you know just how much she loves people and just how much she herself has given in an effort to help others.
