My dad, Ed Wolfe, is very sick. He was diagnosed with lymphoma and began chemotherapy in May. Although some of his symptoms improved and it initially appeared that the cancer was responding to treatment, his condition has steadily declined over the past several months. He is now back in the hospital fighting a serious infection, which is especially dangerous because his immune system is severely compromised from chemotherapy. We are doing everything we can, but unfortunately, he is not doing well.

Dad has always been an incredibly proud and dignified man. He always takes care of everyone else and would never ask for help himself. I know he might not be happy if he knew I was doing this, but I'm out of options. I need to make sure that he receives the care and comfort he deserves.
For the past eight years, Dad has spent virtually all of his free time serving his Catholic church as a sacristan and bereavement minister, helping families through some of the hardest moments of their lives. He has done all of this completely as a volunteer. His whole life, he has always been the person who shows up for other people when they need him. Now I'm asking people to show up for him.

He will likely need around-the-clock nursing care in a residential facility. I don't want finances to be the reason we have to say no to a place that would be best for him. Any donations will help cover the costs of his care and other expenses, including funeral costs when the time comes.

If you know Ed, you know that he has never been a small presence in anyone's life. He is deeply loved by his family and by so many people whose lives he has touched over the years. I am incredibly grateful for any donation, but if you aren't able to give, sharing this fundraiser or simply keeping Dad in your prayers means more to us than I can say.

Thank you for helping me help my dad.
