As a family, we Jamie, Heidi and Julieanne are coming together to honour the life of our beloved Ed. Instead of flowers, we kindly ask that those who wish to pay their respects consider making a donation in his memory.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Sport was at the heart of who Ed was.

Grassroots sports weren’t just a hobby for him they were a passion, a purpose and a joy. Over the years, Ed was connected to countless football and rugby clubs through his children grandchildren and his great grandchild. Nothing made him prouder than standing on the sidelines, cheering them on in the rain, wind, or shine.

Ed believed deeply in the power of community clubs. Every weekend he could be found buying guess the team, scratch cards, or anything that would help raise money so that young people could stay involved in the sports they loved. He never hesitated he just gave, again and again.

Honouring His Legacy

To keep that spirit alive, all donations will be given directly to a local grassroots sports club the kind of place Ed championed throughout his life.

By contributing, you’ll be doing exactly what he did so generously:

opening doors, supporting young athletes, and helping the next generation play, grow and belong.
