Ed Rices fight against cancer

In 2021 my Uncle Eddie Rice was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Since that day our families world has been forever changed. Ed immediately started his fight against this horrible disease and after exhausting all treatment options he had to have his bladder removed in 2023 and in January 2024 he underwent an additional surgery to have his urethra removed. This April scans were performed and it was then we learned his cancer had metastasized and spread to his lymph nodes. Eddie is currently in stage 4 cancer and the cancer continues to spread throughout his body but he continues to fight and remain positive.

As we all know some financial help for cancer patients comes from the government and insurance but it’s rarely enough to cover all expenses. I have created this gofundme to help him and my aunt with unexpected expenses and travel back-and-forth for his chemotherapy treatments .

My uncle served our country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He was the largest financial supporter for his family up until this disease made it impossible for him to work.
