Ed Orton’s Family Funeral and Unexpected Expenses

On February 15, 2021 Edward Glenn Orton was found under the bridge of I-10 and Sheldon Road. The media has stated he was the first pronounced death due to this horrific weather. During his death he was declared homeless. This has been so heartbreaking for his family that has been in search for him the last several years. We are all at a loss and grieving during this time. The times I’ve had with my father he was always such a kind and loving spirit. He was always willing to help others, even if it meant giving up the shirt off his own back. 
He had nothing planned besides wanting to be cremated and having his remains spread over a bridge in Houston. 

I spent the last several years searching for him and never thought I would find him by receiving a sudden call letting me know he has passed. None of us were prepared for this news during this hardship of bad weather and circumstances. My family has currently spent the past week at a friend’s house due to the bad weather.

I am trying to raise money for cost of funeral expenses of cremation  and travel for carrying out his final wishes. Thank you to whoever can help during this hard time and if you can’t, we completely understand. We know the difficulties everyone has faced during the past week and difficult past year for us all. The last thing I thought I would be doing during this time is preparing the funeral for my father. Any help/support and PRAYERS during this time are much appreciated. Our family is forever thankful!
