Ed Masons Funeral Expenses

With a broken heart, I want to share that my dad passed away today, surrounded by his family. It was so sudden, and we are still processing everything. Your love and prayers are appreciated.

Update: 9/26/2025
This is not the update I wanted to share, but my dad needs a lot of prayers right now. Just a few days ago, we were sitting outside with him at the skilled nursing facility, talking about bringing him home soon. Then his health began to decline again.

On the evening of the 24th, he was taken back to the hospital and admitted to the ICU. He became very anxious because he couldn’t breathe, and despite the doctor’s efforts, they weren’t able to get his oxygen and CO2 levels under control. Yesterday afternoon, they asked my mom to step out so they could intubate him.

At the point we do not know what is going to happen. His body needs to be able to breathe on its own, but he faces many challenges—fluid from his broken ribs as well as complications from his pulmonary fibrosis. We are still in shock, and all we can do now is wait and pray that his body is able to heal with the support of the ventilator.

Thank you all for the love and support you’ve all shown us. Please pray for my dad and for my mom who is doing her best to be strong for him.

Our family is reaching out for love, prayers, and support for Ed, who is currently in the hospital after suffering several broken ribs on top of already battling serious health issues including lung disease and a compromised heart.

Anyone who knows Ed, knows how hardworking and strong he is, but this has been an incredibly painful and difficult time. With our family running a farm, the day-to-day responsibilities are already heavy, and now our mom is also making long trips back and forth to be with him. Even the cost of gas alone has become overwhelming, on top of mounting medical and living expenses.

We want to bring our dad home as soon as possible so he can heal surrounded by family and the place he loves. Any donation — big or small — will go directly toward travel costs, medical bills, and keeping the farm running while he recovers.

If you aren’t able to give financially, we ask that you please keep our dad in your prayers and share this page to help spread the word. Every bit of support means the world to us.

My dad would never ask for this on his own. He has always been the first to help anyone in need so I feel it is his time to accept the love and support from those who love him. Thank you ❤️

Update 9/18/2025
Thank you to everyone who has donated to support my dad. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to our family and we are so grateful. We’re happy to share that Ed has improved significantly over the last two days and was able to move from the hospital to a skilled nursing/rehab facility to get stronger before coming home. He had a significant amount of fluid around his lungs that doctors were able to drain, and since then he’s been improving. He still has a lot of work ahead to regain his strength after so much time in bed, but mentally he has the will and determination to make it happen. Thank you again. We are overwhelmed with all of your love and support.
