It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Ed Kraus passed away on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020. He collapsed while working and doing one of the things he was most proud of and loved to talk about. For thirty years Ed proudly built fire trucks and loved to share photos of the trucks and would share the pride he had in them. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, two daughters, Sabrina and Michele, four grandchildren, his mother and sister.
Every person who knew Ed was touched by him, and he was best friends to anyone he crossed paths with: from strangers, to life long friends; as a son and brother, as a husband, father and grandfather; to colleagues that knew him at work. You would never want to smile faster or laugh harder than when spending time with Ed.
Ed made an incredible impact on the lives of so many. For his family there was no better husband or father and he especially loved his grandchildren deeply. For his friends there was no finer man than he was. Ed would help anyone who needed him and would do it with a smile on his face.
We ask that you give generously to support Ed’s family. He was the sole breadwinner, and significantly helped to provide for his wife of forty-two years. With numerous medical bills and end of life expenses, coupled with the loss of sole income, Ed’s wife and his family will be greatly impacted without help. Supporting them will help carry on his legacy of being all the good things he was and the great impact he had on all who knew him.
We now ask that everyone that can, please, help to support his family now and forever with love and friendship. This is a small request compared to the friendship Ed shared with so many.
