Ed Irastorza Medical Fund
Donation protected
On December 6, Ed Irastorza had an accident causing brain trauma and internal bleeding. Ed has been in the ICU at Cedar Sinai Hospital since January 2 with complications from the accident.
He has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, which requires Ed to have a medication called Veletri pumped into his lungs for the rest of his life. He is currently on oxygen and in critical condition at Cedar Sinai.
As visual effects colleagues, we know that we don't have a Union for VFX. Any donations to Ed and the Irastorza family would be appreciated.
Ed is one of our finest VFX supervisors. He won The Spanish Academy Award and is nominated for a British Academy Award for VFX in Pans Labrynth. Most recently, he produced visual effects on The Morning Show as well as Sin City for Robert Rodriguez. He's worked on Grimm, Mayans, Hellboy, and Blade 1 and 2.
We're hoping the VFX community will come together to help Ed and his family.
Ed's sister Monica Irastorza is setup as beneficiary to help fund his medical bills while he is in the hospital.
