Ed get a Porch Lift and Power Wheel Chair

Hi my name is Jen and I am fundraising to help my husband Ed get the basic things

he needs to get in and out of our place. On April 20, our world was torn upside down, my husband was admitted to the hospital with a bad infection in his foot that traveled up his leg, they treated it with heavy antibiotics for days. With consultation with an orthopedic and vascular surgeon, they came to the conclusion that they were unable to save his leg and they would need to amputate it. Several days later they removed his leg above the knee, which means that he is not a candidate for a prosthetic which means that he is wheelchair dependent. This means that we have to make some modifications, we have applied for a grant through the Ontario March of Dimes to help with the cost of a porch lift as well as a motorized wheelchair but we have to pay for a portion of the cost as well. I am not one to ask for help, but I am asking for help to make this possible for him to be a bit independent and adapt to the changes that he is facing
