Hello everyone, my name is Ed Cabrera, and I was involved in a bike accident on June 1, 2025. I ended up with a broken arm that went clean through my skin and needed surgery, for which they put steel plates and screws in my arm.

Because of this, I will be out of work for two and a half to three months. I have no other means of income except for myself on a bicycle, which I deliver catering orders with a bicycle and a trailer.

I could really use some help so I am able to pay rent and bills until I can get back to work.

CPD will not go after the person because they did not hit me; instead, I swerved to avoid getting run over. So, because I was not hit, there's nobody to file a complaint against.

I feel foolish asking for anything, although I could really use the help at the moment so I can heal and get back to work. If not, I'm going to end up homeless before I heal, which I do not deserve just because the driver wasn't paying attention when they made a U-turn and kept going.

Thankfully, my rent and bills are not that much; therefore, I'm not asking for that much help.

Whatever anyone can do it's greatly appreciated and please be careful out there whether you're driving or riding a bike or motorcycle or walking. Courtesy goes a long way!
